Ncaa College Football Playoffs 2024. With the college football playoff expanding to 12 teams, every new year's six bowl game will serve as either a quarterfinal or semifinal. For the 2024 and 2025 seasons, the 12 playoff participants consist of the five highest ranked conference champions, plus the next seven highest ranked teams.
